Let's play two in Oklahoma City!

Game 1: Round Rock 12, Oklahoma City 5

W- Akeem Bostick (2-0)
L- Ben Holmes (0-3)

RR home runs: Derek Fisher (6, solo in 4th)

The Express fell behind 5-0 after the 1st inning but that didn't seem to faze them because they finished game one on a 12-0 run.

Akeem Bostick shook off that rough opening inning in order to go five innings and he allowed four hits, walked two, and struck out six. Brendan McCurry walked one and struck out two over the final two innings.

Drew Ferguson and Jamie Ritchie walked, while Alex De Goti singled to load the bases in the 3rd. Derek Fisher followed with a two-run single and then Myles Straw, Taylor Jones, and Yordan Alvarez all hit RBI singles. Kyle Tucker drew a walk to reload the bases and Ferguson walked in Alvarez in his second plate appearance of the 3rd inning. Fisher launched a homer to lead off the 4th; one batter later, Straw legged out an infield single and scored on Alvarez's double. Tucker reached on catcher's interference and then a balk allowed him and Alvarez to advance one base. Ferguson proceeded to hit a two-run single.

Alvarez smacked another RBI double in the 5th and Alex De Goti capped off the scoring in game one with an RBI double of his own in the 6th. Alvarez finished 4-5 in game one. Fisher went 3-5, while De Goti and Straw had two hits apiece.

Game 2: Round Rock 9, Oklahoma City 3

W- Ryan Hartman (3-0)
L- Justin De Fratus (0-1)

RR home runs: Alex De Goti (4, grand slam in 1st), Yordan Alvarez (12, 2-run in 2nd)

The Express scored a touchdown in the 1st to send themselves on the way to the doubleheader sweep. All of the scoring that they did in game two came in the first two innings.

As was the case in the first game, the Express cashed in big-time on a bases-loaded situation. Straw, Fisher, and Jack Mayfield all walked to lead off game two and then Alvarez opened the scoring with an RBI single. Fisher scored on an error that allowed Taylor Jones to reach and Mayfield scored on a Nick Tanielu sac fly. Ferguson walked to reload the bases for Alex De Goti, who proceeded to hit a grand slam. Alvarez whacked a two-run homer in the 2nd inning.

Ryan Hartman went five innings and allowed three runs on five hits, walked three, and struck out five. Dean Deetz and Reymin Guduan both threw a scoreless inning; Deetz struck out one in a 1-2-3 6th, and Guduan worked around a hit and a walk in the 7th.

Cionel Pérez will start the series finale. He'll face Michael Bowden at 7:05.

Corpus Christi 4, Northwest Arkansas 1

W- Brandon Bielak (2-0)
L- Conner Greene (2-2)
S- J.B. Bukauskas (1)

CC home runs: Granden Goetzman (7, solo in 4th)

Brandon Bielak and J.B. Bukauskas turned in solid performances on the mound as the Hooks took the opener of a new series.

Bielak allowed a run on four hits, walked two, and struck out four in five innings of work. Bukauskas finished things off with four scoreless, allowing three hits, walking two, and striking out four.

Granden Goetzman clubbed a solo home run in the 4th to open the scoring. Josh Rojas followed by doubling, advancing to third on a wild pitch, and scoring on a Chas McCormick groundout. Ronnie Dawson lashed a two-run double in the 5th. Rojas finished 2-3 on the night.

José Hernández-Urquidy takes on former Aggie Jace Vines in game two later this morning. First pitch is scheduled for 11:05 AM.

Lynchburg 4, Fayetteville 3

W- Robert Broom (1-0)
L- Enoli Paredes (1-1)
S- Jared Robinson (4)

Fayetteville home runs: None.

Fayetteville held the Hillcats to four hits in this game, but the difference here was the Hillcats putting up the only crooked number of the evening when they scored three in the 5th inning.

Enoli Paredes went 4.2 innings and allowed four runs (three inherited runners charged to him) on three hits, walked three, and struck out four. One of the hits that he allowed was a solo homer. Tommy DeJuneas pitched 2.1 innings without allowing any runs of his own, but he couldn't extract Paredes from a bases-loaded predicament in the 5th as all three runners scored. DeJuneas allowed a hit, walked three, and struck out two. Willy Collado struck out three over two perfect frames.

The Woodpeckers loaded the bases to lead off the bottom of the 1st but could only get one run out of that situation as Michael Papierski scored on an error. Jonathan Arauz smacked an RBI double in the 5th and Scott Manea hit an RBI single in the 9th. Arauz and Manea were both stranded to end the game. Jake Adams, Colton Shaver, and Jacob Meyers all finished with two hits on the evening.

Cristian Javier will face Adam Scott in the series finale. First pitch is at 7:00 Eastern.

Quad Cities and Lake County was suspended

Due to rain. This game will resume at 11:00 AM Eastern.

Currently, Quad Cities is leading 2-0 with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the 1st. César Salazar is at the plate. Alex McKenna scored on a balk and Jonathan Lacroix hit an RBI single. R.J. Freure will start as scheduled because he hasn't thrown a pitch yet.
