RR home runs: Nick Tanielu (9, 2-run in 6th), Taylor Jones (13, 2-run in 7th)

The E-Train staved off a late comeback attempt from the Aces to escape with this game.

Round Rock took control of this game in the 2nd as Nick Tanielu hit a two-run single and Alex De Goti smacked a two-run triple. Chas McCormick added another run with a sac fly in the 4th and Tanielu struck again in the 6th as he whacked a two-run home run. Taylor Jones clubbed a two-run homer in the 7th. Oscar Campos got a chance to hit after subbing in for Max Stassi in the 8th and he ripped an RBI double. Everyone in the lineup recorded a hit; Tanielu (2-R HR, 4 RBI, 2 R) and Kyle Tucker (3B, 2 R, SB) had two.

Kent Emanuel allowed a run on four hits, walked one, and struck out six in 4.1 innings of work. Justin Ferrell was the first man out of the Round Rock bullpen and he allowed two runs (one inherited runner charged to him) on two hits (solo homer), walked one, and struck out two. Ronel Blanco got the last out of the 7th and the first out of the 8th, allowing a two-run homer and walking three. He issued two walks in the 7th; one came with the bases loaded and resulted in a run being charged to Ferrell. Reymin Guduan pitched the final 1.2 innings and he allowed three runs, an RBI double, walked four, and struck out one.

Corpus Christi 4, Arkansas 2

CC home runs: None.

The Travs scored twice in the opening inning. The Hooks pulled even in the 4th and got a couple more runs to come out on top.

Yohan Ramirez pitched four innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits (solo homer), walked three, and struck out seven. The bullpen closed things out with five scoreless innings. Carlos Sanabria worked around a walk to throw a scoreless 5th, striking out one. Sanabria successfully bridged the gap to Bryan Abreu, who walked two and struck out four over the last four innings.

Abraham Toro walked and Seth Beer doubled to lead off the 4th inning. Granden Goetzman brought Toro in with a sac fly to put Corpus on the board. Beer, who advanced to third on the sac fly, came home on a single from Ramiro Rodríguez. Ronnie Dawson walked to lead off the 5th and two batters later, Toro joined him on the bases after drawing another walk. With Goetzman at the plate, they successfully pulled off a double steal and Dawson ended up scoring the go-ahead run on a wild pitch. Javier Bermúdez drew a walk to lead off the 7th; he proceeded to steal second and scored the final run of the evening on a sac fly from Toro. Rodríguez and Osvaldo Duarte both finished with two hits on the night.

Corpus will spend this Father's Day weekend in Springfield, Missouri, as they get set to start a three-game series with the Cardinals. Cristian Javier will start game one; first pitch is at 7:10.

Potomac 7, Fayetteville 1

L- Chad Donato (3-7)

Fayetteville home runs: None.

The P-Nats scored five runs from the 5th to the 7th innings to run away with this game.

Miguelangel Sierra drove in the Woodpeckers' lone run by smacking an RBI ground-rule double in the 3rd inning. Chandler Taylor, who scored on Sierra's double, went 2-3 and both of his hits were doubles.

Chad Donato went 6.1 innings and he allowed six runs (five earned, two inherited runners charged to him) on eight hits (solo homer), walked three, and struck out three. Tanner Duncan pitched 1.2 innings and the one hit he allowed was a three-run home run; two runs were charged to Donato. Duncan walked one and struck out three. Leovanny Rodríguez worked around a walk to throw a scoreless 9th, striking out two.

Austin Hansen will get the start in game two of this series. He'll take on Carson Teel at 7:00 Eastern.

Game 1: Beloit 2, Quad Cities 0

QC home runs: None.

The Snappers got a couple of solo shots in order to take the first game of the doubleheader.

Cody Deason pitched decently, but the aforementioned homers saddled him with the loss. In 5.2 innings, Deason allowed four hits (including the home runs), walked one, and struck out six. Joey Gonzalez got the final out of the 6th.

Wilyer Abreu, Ross Adolph, and Ruben Castro all singled. That was all for Quad Cities in game one in terms of offense.

Game 2: Quad Cities 8, Beloit 6

W- Jonathan Bermúdez (1-0, 1-2 season)
L- Reid Birlingmair (2-3)
S- Humberto Castellanos (4)

QC home runs: Ross Adolph (4, solo in 4th)

The Banditos earned the split as they erupted for six runs in the 3rd and then got a couple more runs to keep the Snappers at bay. Let's fast-forward to the 3rd. Quad Cities entered the inning trailing 4-0.

Orlando Marquez led off that huge 3rd with a double and he came in with Quad Cities' first run in game two on a single from Michael Wielansky. Ross Adolph drew a walk, but Wielansky was forced out at third. Adolph and Austin Dennis both advanced on another groundout, so they needed something to keep the inning alive. That something turned out to be a two-run single from Alex McKenna and suddenly the rally was back on. Ruben Castro walked, Freúdis Nova hit an RBI single to bring McKenna home, and David Hensley whacked a two-run double.

Adolph launched a home run to lead off the 4th and he scored the final run of the evening on a single from Jeremy Peña. McKenna, Nova, and Hensley all had two hits in game two.

R.J. Freure went 3.1 innings and allowed six runs (four earned, two inherited runners charged to him) on five hits, walked three, and struck out nine. Jonathan Bermúdez technically pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, but he inherited a bases-loaded situation from Freure and two runners scored. He allowed three hits, walked one, and struck out five. Humberto Castellanos struck out two in a 1-2-3 7th to get the save.

The Banditos are back home for their final series before the Midwest League All-Star break. Wisconsin is in town for the weekend. Brett Daniels goes up against Adam Hill at 6:35.

DSL Astros 3, DSL Dodgers Bautista 1

L- Rafael Tua (1-2)

DSL home runs: None.

The Dominican 'Stros won this game the old-fashioned way: by scoring in more innings than the Dodgers' Bautista team.

Jherson Pereira allowed two hits, walked one, and struck out five over six shutout innings. Reimy Beltre got the last three innings, allowing a run on a wild pitch, a single, walking three, and striking out five.

Ricardo Toro opened the scoring with an RBI single in the 6th. Andrés Monzón doubled and scored when Yohander Martinez grounded into a force out in the 7th, and Omar Díaz scored on an error in the 8th. Toro finished 2-3 on the day.

These two teams will go at it again at 11:30 AM Atlantic.
