Salt River over Mesa 11-3
Jon Singleton drove in all three of Mesa's runs with an RBI triple and a two-run home run. George Springer was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, and Jio Mier, with a start at second base, was 1-for-4. Alex Sogard pitched one and a third innings and allowed three runs (all unearned) on two hits and a walk, while Chia-Jen Lo pitched one inning, allowing a solo home run and striking out two.

Salt River over Mesa 6-5

Jarred Cosart got the first start for Mesa and breezed through the first three and a third innings. With one out in the fourth, Cosart allowed two singles and then loaded the bases on a missed catch error. One single and two runs later, Cosart's night was done. He allowed three hits, two runs and no walks with two strikeouts. Jon Singleton got the start at first base and went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts and scored a run and Bobby Borchering was 0-for-2 with a walk, two strikeouts and scored a run as he got the start at third. George Springer had one at-bat in the ninth inning and grounded out.
