So, my computer decided that it didn't want to connect to the Internet yesterday, and it appears that the sole survivor from last night was Rip Noblin, who got a hit from both Austin Wates and Conrad Gregor.
I'll attempt to start a new streak with Teoscar.

Brett Phillips came through for Baseball Mom and me with a 2-run single for Quad Cities.
Conrad Gregor came through for Jayne in 5 ways. Daniel Nelson got half of a double down once again as Tony Kemp hit a 2-run double, but Carlos Correa went 0-2 with 3 walks. Matt Naber also drew a blank with Carlos Correa, and Rip Noblin also got half of a double down as Dan Gulbransen hit an RBI single for Lancaster, but Catfish Elkins was 0-2 for Quad Cities.
Today, I'll stick with Brett Phillips.

Got a perfect day from Nolan Fontana to start a new streak. How about you?
Rip Noblin fell just short of matching the season-best streak that he set. He chose Preston Tucker (sending me a message on Twitter saying so), but then he decided to go for broke and chose Delino DeShields as well (comment on the previous day's post). DeShields went 0-2 with 2 walks, which put an end to Mr. Rip's streak.
Jayne got herself back on the board with Preston Tucker, while Baseball Mom got a double from Tony Kemp to extend her streak to 2.
Today, I'll be going with a Midwest League All-Star, Brett Phillips.

Ronald Torreyes had yesterday off, so I stood pat. And, I forgot that Corpus had a day off yesterday.
Rip Noblin put himself 1 step closer to matching his own season's best streak as Teoscar Hernandez went deep and Carlos Correa added a single. Danry Vásquez hit a sac fly, but went 0-3, ending Jayne's streak at 4. Everyone chose Carlos Correa! Matt Naber began a new streak with him. Daniel Nelson got half a double down for the 3rd day in a row with Correa, but Rio Ruiz got the day off. Baseball Mom got herself back on the board as Kiké Hernandez went deep for OKC.
Today, I will go with Nolan Fontana.

Beat the Streak, June 2
It was a well-deserved weekend off for me. I'm still recovering from being on my feet for 8 hours yesterday at Free Press Summer Fest down at Eleanor Tinsley Park.
On Saturday, Jayne extended her streak to 3 with a hit from Kiké Hernandez. Matt Naber and Daniel Nelson (with half of a double down) saw their streaks end, while Baseball Mom stood pat because Brett Phillips had the day off. Rip Noblin took the lead as he got 2 hits apiece from the Vanderbilt duo of Conrad Gregor and Tony Kemp.
It was tough sledding on Sunday, as no team scored more than 3 runs (Quad Cities' game was suspended as they were up 3-2). It was particularly tough if you chose someone from the upper minors, as OKC (1) and Corpus (4) were held in check. Well, Jayne had no problems as she chose Andrew Aplin. Rip Noblin's streak was extended to 5 with a Brett Phillips single. Matt Naber was stuck at the start as Kemp was 0-4 and Sclafani didn't play, presumably because he's on his way to OKC. Mr. Nelson drew blanks with Tony Kemp and Delino DeShields. And, Baseball Mom's modest 3-game streak came to an end as Gregor finished 0-3.
Today, my pick is Ronald Torreyes.

Darn. I thought I could switch from Jon Kemmer, who had yesterday off, to Danry Vásquez, who had an RBI single, but forgot that Quad Cities' game had already started.
Jayne and Baseball Mom got themselves back on the board with a Carlos Correa single. Matt Naber got an RBI single from Rio Ruiz, but an 0-4 night from Delino DeShields. Daniel Nelson drew blanks with DeShields and Chan-Jong Moon. Rip Noblin didn't get anything from Moon or Tyler White, who got the day off, and pacbellpilgrim got 1 from Brett Phillips, but zero from L.J. Hoes.

I got an RBI double from Thomas Lindauer, but Teoscar Hernandez hasn't played the last couple of games.
Seemed like everyone chose Tyler White, who got a day off.
Matt Naber chose Brett Phillips, who went 2-4, but Brian Holberton got the day off. Baseball Mom also went with Holberton, and Tyler White didn't play either. pacbellpilgrim chose Phillips and White. Daniel Nelson got a single from Delino DeShields, but he also picked White. Rip Noblin got a big night from Ronnie Mitchell, but Carlos Perez went 0-3.

Well, looks like my streak went by the wayside, as Jon Singleton went 0-3 despite drawing a couple of walks.
Matt Naber, who picked Carlos Correa on Memorial Day and I didn't check his Twitter feed, saw his streak end at 5 as Enrique Hernandez's 12-game hitting streak was snapped. pacbellpilgrim got half of a double-down as Austin Wates went 2-4 with a double, but Carlos Correa finished 0-5 in Lake Elsinore. Baseball Mom got back on the board with Brett Phillips. Jayne chose Brett, but her other choice, Tanner Mathis, is on the DL. Joe Sclafani has just been solid this month. He went 2-4 yesterday, and my streak is up to 4. Rip Noblin also saw Carlos Perdomo go 2-4 to increase his streak to 5.
Unfortunately, a few streaks went by the wayside yesterday, as Jayne drew a blank with Brett Phillips, and Daniel Nelson and pacbellpilgrim had incomplete double downs.
I'm not playing today. You shouldn't either. Go enjoy this day off! What's the point of having one if you're not going to have fun?
Please, don't forget to take a moment out of your day to think about the men and women currently serving in our Armed Forces. This may be a day where we're all relaxing on the beach, or having a good time with family and friends, etc., but sometimes we forget that today is supposed to be a solemn day, as well. Jayne got a single from Teoscar Hernandez, but Carlos Correa drew a blank. He did walk twice, though. Daniel Nelson's 6-game streak came to an end as Tony Kemp went 0-4. Andrew Aplin did have an RBI, but it was on a groundout, and he went 0-3, putting an end to pacbellpilgrim's 4-gamer. Well, I got half of a double down last night with James Ramsay. The other half... not so much. Domingo Santana went 0-5 with a couple of strikeouts for OKC.
Jayne got herself off the canvas with a single from Jon Singleton and a solo homer from Tony Kemp. Rip Noblin can probably breathe a sigh of relief as he's finally back on the board after what seemed to be a deep, deep slump. He got a homer from the birthday boy, Rio Ruiz, and Kiké Hernandez extended his hitting streak to 9 games. Matt Naber got himself a new streak thanks to Rio's and Kemp's solo blasts.
Picking Quad Cities players turned out to be a great decision last night, as they all had at least 1 hit. Baseball Mom had Conrad Gregor, while pacbellpilgrim also went with Gregor to go along with his double down pick of Carlos Correa.
Daniel Nelson continues to set the pace as he got a hit apiece from Singleton and Correa.

I'm bad luck for Andrew Aplin. Let's just say that. Rip Noblin has probably shattered the record for most half double downs, as Brian Holberton is currently 2-3 with a double and 2 runs scored, but Jobduan Morales got the day off. Mr. Rip, hang in there.
Jon Singleton owes Jayne big time!

Woohoo! The double down paid off for me last night with Jon Singleton and Brett Phillips.
Jayne's totally random selection is getting her back on track, as Conrad Gregor's double in QC's extra-inning affair with Burlington has extended her streak to 2. Baseball Mom also went with Brett Phillips. Good choice!
Daniel Nelson had half of a double down going; Delino DeShields went 3-4 as he's battling out of his San Antonio slump (he went 2-21 in those 4 games), but Tony Kemp had a rare 0-fer for Lancaster. pacbellpilgrim hit with Singleton, but missed with Ronald Torreyes.

Beat the Streak, May 19
Rio Ruiz went 1-5 with a double and a run scored as my streak was extended to 2.
Jayne got back on the board with Danry Vásquez. So did Baseball Mom, who went with Carlos Perdomo. Daniel Nelson got a hit from Rio, but a day off from Tony Kemp. pacbellpilgrim's modest 4-game streak came to an end as Carlos Correa went 0-5.
Today, I got the feeling that Jon Singleton will snap out of the funk he's been in lately. I'll go with Brett Phillips, as well.

My stay on the schneid was short-lived as Teoscar Hernandez was 2-4 with an RBI single and 2 runs scored for Lancaster.
I'm in a bit of a hurry today, so I won't be doing much elaboration on what happened yesterday.
Jayne: No streak (Delino DeShields no)
Daniel Nelson: Streak ended at 2 (Tony Kemp no, Kiké Hernandez day off)
Matt Naber: Streak ended at 2 (Kemp no, Carlos Correa yes)
pacbellpilgrim: Streak extended to 4 (Robbie Grossman yes)
Baseball Mom: No streak (Brett Phillips no)
Rip Noblin: No streak (Jobduan Morales day off, Tyler Heineman no)
Today, I'm going with Rio Ruiz.

Beat the Streak, May 17
All good things must come to an end... like my streak. Jon Singleton went 0-4 last night in Nashville, so I'm back at the start.
I'll be joined there by Jayne, who saw Matt Duffy got 0-5 with an RBI on a fielder's choice for Corpus. Rip Noblin... hang in there, sir. He chose Jobduan Morales and Tyler Heineman, who both got the day off.
Baseball Mom got back on the board with a single from Chan-Jong Moon, one of just 4 Quad Cities hits on the night. Daniel Nelson got yet another big night from Tony Kemp, and Delino DeShields had a 1-4 night for Corpus as well. Matt Naber was also the beneficiary of Kemp's 4-hit night for Lancaster.
pacbellpilgrim is the new leader as he got a 2-6 night from Carlos Correa.
Today, I'll be going with Teoscar Hernandez.
