RHP James Propst (23)
Propst was drafted in the 38th round in 2011 out of Oklahoma State and spent his first season at Greeneville pitching out of the bullpen (plus one start).  He was 1-3 with a 5.71 ERA and a 1.413 WHIP, but those numbers were skewed by a rough August.  In his first 2 months, he had a 4.30 ERA and a 1.174 WHIP.

Originally drafted by Atlanta in the 2nd round in 1980, Fisher pitched for Houston in 4 games in 1990.  His best season was his rookie season for the Yankees in 1985 when he was 4-4 with an ERA of 2.38 and a WHIP of 1.078 over 55 games.

No Announced Roster Moves Today

OK, I am officially annoyed that the Astros 40-Man Roster shows 41 players.  We still do not know who the odd man out will be as Chris Snyder is added to the roster.

UPDATED TO ADD:  I totally forgot about the fact that C Craig Tatum was claimed off waivers by the Diamondbacks.

Roster Moves - 1/18/12

To make room for OF Jack Cust on the 40-man roster, C Craig Tatum was designated for assignment.  Since there are currently only two catchers on the 40-man roster, and one of them is recovering from foot surgery, I think it is safe to say that additional moves will be forthcoming.  It is now 78 days until opening day.  Buckle your seatbelts; a lot can happen in 78 days.
