Happy Birthday - 7/6

OF Preston Tucker (24)
Tucker was a seventh round draft pick out of the University of Florida in 2012. Tucker started his season with the AA Corpus Christi team, hitting .276/.348/.536 with 17 doubles and 17 home runs in 65 games before his promotion to Oklahoma City on June 12th. In the first 20 games since his promotion, he is hitting .247/.333/.312.

GCL Manager Marty Malloy (42)
Although Baseball-Reference has Malloy's birthday as 4/6/72, the GCL roster says 7/6/92 so I'll go with that. Malloy is in his second year with the GCL Astros, having served as Hitting Coach for the team in 2013. This is his first year managing the team.

One former Astro with a birthday today ~

3B German Rivera (54)
Rivera came to Houston in July of 1985 as part of the trade with Los Angeles for Enos Cabell. In 13 games for Houston, he hit .194/.275/.306. His career minor league average was .281/.331/.432. Rivera continued to play for the Mexican League for several years after his major league career was over.

Happy Birthday - 7/6

OK, I posted the wrong birthday yesterday. I shouldn't be allowed to post at 4:00 in the morning. So a belated Happy birthday to German Rivera and Happy Birthday for real to Bob Gallagher (see yesterday).

No future Astros, and only one former Astro with a birthday today ~
