started the scoring off in the seventh inning with an RBI double that brought
home Ronnie Mitchell (1X4 R 2B 2SO). Ryan Dineen (2X3 R 2B) scored the final
run in the eighth inning on a Tyler White (1X4 RBI 2SO) RBI single. Starting
pitcher Kyle Westwood went seven innings, walking one, allowing five hits and
striking out three as he picked up the win. Gonzalo Sanudo earned his second
save in the playoffs after facing the minimum through the final two frames,
striking out two.

just one more win against Beloit after Saturday’s to advance to the
championship. Josh Hader pitched seven innings, giving up one run on three
hits, walking one and striking out one as well. Andrew Walter earned his second
save of the playoffs after stranding a runner in the ninth and striking two
others. Carlos Correa went two-for-three with two RBIs. Correa knocked in

Corpus Christi
Hooks 1, San Antonio Missions 0
The Hooks won their
first must win game in the ninth inning of this series after falling behind 2-1
on Friday, forcing a game five.
Ruben Alaniz pitched the first seven innings in commanding fashion,
allowing three hits, walking one and striking out six. Edgar Gonzalez picked up
the win after working the eighth, allowing a hit and striking out the other
three batters he faced. The winning run in the ninth was scored when pinch
hitter Michael Burgess (1X1 RBI) singled to plate Ryan McCurdy (0X0 R BB).
Player of the Day: Carlos Correa is wearing the WTHB crown today for his
offensive contribution yesterday.
Pitcher of the Day: Brady Rodgers takes the cake today, hands down. 11 Ks,
retiring the last 10 he faced in order? That is big time.
