One of the newest Astros, Buck was signed by the Astros last week to a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training. In parts of five seasons in the majors with Oakland and Cleveland, Buck had a .246/.320/.408/.727 batting line. In 2011, he was .256/.366/.421/.787 in the minors.
