In 2011, Bobby was 1-3 with a 9.04 ERA and a 2.010 WHIP in 22 appearances (13 starts) at Lancaster. In 27 starts between Lancaster and Corpus Christi in 2012, he was 14-6 with a 4.00 ERA and a 1.284 WHIP. His 14 wins tied Mike Foltynewicz for the most in the Astros minor league system for the 2012 season.
I recently caught up to Bobby via email before he headed to Spring Training and this is what he had to tell me.
On his offseason: "I spent my offseason training at Athletes Performance in Frisco, TX. As for the fun stuff: played golf, watched way too much football, traveled a bit, and enjoyed mom's home cooking."
On his goals for the season: "Stay healthy and give a great first impression to all those new staffers."
Thanks, Bobby, and best of luck in the new season.
