LIGA VENEZUELA BEISBOL PROFESIONAL
Game 2: Margarita 3, Anzoátegui 2
The Islanders hosted a twinbill last night, and former Astro Henry Sosa went the distance for them in a 5-2 victory. In game 2, which was originally scheduled for Monday, they got the sweep behind a solid start from Eric Berger, who snapped a personal 3-game losing streak. He gave up 2 in the 6th, but escaped by inducing an inning-ending double play.

[NOTE FROM JAYNE: It appears that whoever posts the boxscores for the Liga Paralela had Junior Garcia mixed up with Julio Garcia. I believe that Junior Garcia actually pitched two innings in relief for the Tiburones: 0H 0R 0BB 1SO.]
