LIGA VENEZUELA BEISBOL PROFESIONAL

Marwin Gonzalez was scheduled to DH for Zulia yesterday, but he was a last-second scratch. Zulia won their first game of the round-robin, blanking Magallanes 2-0.

AUSTRALIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE

Adelaide 9, Canberra 7

The Bite saw their 5-0 lead vanish, but they broke a 7-7 tie wth a pair of runs in the top of the 9th.

The Heat only had 2 hits in this game, one of which was a solo homer from Brandon Tripp in the 8th. Cameron Lamb tossed a scoreless 8th inning.

Águilas 3, Gigantes 2

In this latest installment of the Cibao derby, Águilas got back to .500 with the win. They went ahead in this game with 2 in the top of the 8th.

Here is the schedule of games for the round-robin, which will conclude on January 17.

All Ponce, as they stormed out to a 6-0 lead. Carolina's 2 runs were consolation runs in the 7th and 9th.

Mayagüez 4, Caguas 3 in 11 innings

Mayagüez (4, 11, 3) had one more in each column than Caguas (3, 10, 2). An RBI triple from Dodgers SS Dee Gordon in the top of the 11th proved to be the difference.
