Happy Birthday - 4/10

No future Astros with birthdays today, but one former Astro celebrates ~

LF/1B Bob Watson (68)
Watson was first signed by the Astros as an amateur free agent in January of 1965 and spent the majority of the next 15 years in the Astros system. A two-time All-Star, Watson compiled a batting line of .297/.364/.444 in 1381 games spread over 14 seasons. After retiring as a player, he coached before becoming Assistant General Manager of the Astros from 1989 to 1993. In 1994 and 1995, he was the General Manager of the team. He later became a Vice President of Major League Baseball until his retirement at the end of 2010. For more on Bob Watson, read this excellent Baseball-Reference article.
