OF/1B Orlando Merced (48)
Merced signed with Houston as a free agent in August 2000 and played for the Astros from 2001 to 2003 at the end of his career. He hit .262/.323/.417 for the Astros over 340 games. He spent the greatest part of his career with the Pirates. In seven years in Pittsburgh, Merced hit .283/.364/.428 and came in second in voting for the NL Rookie of the Year in 1991, losing out to Jeff Bagwell.
