AUSTRALIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE
Adelaide 7, Canberra 4
The Bite trailed 4-0 heading into their half of the 5th, and they rattled off 7 unanswered afterwards to get the victory. Chan-Jong Moon smacked a solo homer in the 6th (2), and drove in another run on a force out in the 7th. Tyler Brunnemann got his 2nd save in as many nights as he punched out 2 in a 1-2-3 9th.
Adelaide will look for the series win at 7:30 Australian Central Time.
LIGA VENEZOLANA DE BÉISBOL PROFESIONAL
Aragua 8, Caracas 4
The capital club got doubled up. They were able to put a dent in a 7-0 deficit, but that proved to be too much to overcome.
Danry Vásquez went 1-4 with a run scored, while Gregorio Petit finished 2-4 with a run scored.
Caracas hosts Lara tonight. First pitch is at 7:30.
LIGA MEXICANA DEL PACÍFICO
Mazatlán 3, Jalisco 2
Leo Heras finished 1-3 with 2 walks and scored one of Jalisco's 2 runs.
Tonight, los Charros will welcome Mexicali to Guadalajara for the weekend. The series opener will start at 7:00.
LIGA DE BÉISBOL PROFESIONAL ROBERTO CLEMENTE
Caguas 2, Mayagüez 1
Roberto Peña entered the game as a defensive sub in the 6th and popped out in foul territory in his only plate appearance in the 8th.
Caguas hosts Santurce tonight at 7:30 Atlantic.
Carolina 17, San Juan 0
Carolina started things off with a bang as they scored 8 in the bottom of the 1st and poured it on even further as they ran San Juan off the field.
Carlos Corporán finished 2-4; he singled in the 6th, and an error allowed a run to score. He then ripped a 2-run double in the 7th. Jobduan Morales went 1-3 with a double and a run scored.
Carolina will return to action next Tuesday, when they host Santurce.
Puerto Rico's All-Star Game will take place on Saturday at 6:00 Atlantic.
