Carolina 5, Mayagüez 2

Well, this game apparently got chippy late as 2 Carolina players and 4 Mayagüez players were tossed. Martin Maldonado got plunked in the 7th and then it looked like tensions reached a boiling point. Maldonado, René Garcia, Hiram Burgos, and Mario Santiago were all thrown out.

Carlos Corporán went 0-4. while Jobduan Morales opened up the scoring with a sac fly in the 3rd. He was hit by a pitch in the 8th, which ended Mayagüez pitcher Tyler Herron's night early. Mayagüez manager Lino Rivera got his marching orders soon after. Morales ended up scoring when Enrique Hernandez grounded into a force out.

Friday night's slate has Carolina hosting Caguas and Santurce hosting Mayagüez.
