Roberto Peña finished 1-5 with an RBI. The results page on the official Pan Am Games website does not specify what kind of hit the player recorded.
Puerto Rico will take on Colombia today. First pitch is at 5:35 Eastern.
GCL Astros 7, GCL Pirates 6 in 11 innings

The Kissimmee Stros erased a 6-3 deficit and walked off with the win in extras.
Kyle Tucker hit an RBI single in the 1st to open the scoring, and Joan Mauricio hit a 2-run single in the 2nd. In the 6th inning, Ruben Castro hit an RBI single, Nestor Muriel drew a bases-loaded walk, and Daz Cameron added a sac fly. Reiny Beltre scored the winning run on an error following a Daz flyout in the 11th. Bryan De La Cruz finished 2-5 with 2 runs scored.
Junior A. Garcia was the 5th GCL Astros pitcher to appear, and he allowed a hit while striking out 2 over 3 scoreless innings. Starlyn Taveras struck out 1 in a 1-2-3 11th inning and got the win.
DSL Phillies 7, DSL Astros Blue 6
W- Anderson Nuñez (1-0)
L- Cristofer Melendez (2-3)
S- Steiner Carmona (3)
Blue home runs: None.
Both teams scored 2 in an inning, and they both scored 3 in an inning. The difference was the Phillies scoring 2 in the 8th, and the Blue team scoring 1 in the 9th. The Blue team left the bases loaded to end the game.
Angel De Leon finished 2-2 with an RBI triple in the 1st, and one batter later, he scored on a passed ball. Andy Piñeda scored on an error and also stole his 21st base of the season. The Blue team got a pair of RBI infield singles from Ozziel Sanchez-Galan and Andy Piñeda. Edgar Lorenzo hit an RBI single in the 9th to cut the deficit to 1.
Luis Castro was the first reliever for the Blue team; he allowed 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2 over 3 scoreless innings.
DSL Astros Orange 12, DSL Mariners2 7
W- Diosward Gonzalez (2-0)
L- Ricardo Reyes (1-2)
Orange home runs: Randy Vasquez (2, solo in 8th)
The Orange team put the momentum in their corner with a 7-run 6th.
Carlos Machado opened the scoring in the 2nd by scoring on a passed ball. Their 3 runs in the 5th came on a 2-run double from Anthony Rodriguez, who scored on a double from Randy Vasquez.
Machado scored the first run of the 6th on an error. Miguelangel Sierra ripped an RBI double. Rodriguez followed with a sac fly, and Vasquez added an RBI single. Machado came on for the 2nd time in the 6th inning and ended up hitting a bases-clearing triple.Vasquez and Machado both finished 3-5, while Sierra, Rodriguez, Jose Carrillo, and Angel Tejeda had 2 hits apiece.
Diosward Gonzalez was the 3rd pitcher in for the Orange team and got the win after throwing 2.1 scoreless innings. He walked 2 and struck out 2.
