It was a tough night for Grizzlies starter Brett Oberholtzer who allowed a pair of runs in each of the first two innings and ended his night after 4.2 innings, having allowed six runs on 10 hits (three home runs). Travis Ballew, Chris Cotton, Jake Buchanan and Juan Minaya kept a lid on the Express hitters the rest of the way, but by then the damage was done..@nolanfontana runs out for intros holding the #Growlifornia Flag high. Fresno's offense had trouble getting much going and didn't capitalize on a bases loaded, one out opportunity in the fifth inning. Finally, with two outs in the eighth inning, a Robbie Grossman single and walks from Andrew Aplin and Colin Moran loaded the bases for Tyler Heineman. Heineman drove in two runs with a single to account for the only two Grizzlies runs of the night. Fresno was ultimately held to seven singles, two each from Tyler White and Robbie Grossman.
The Grizzlies now have their work cut out for them. They must win Saturday and Sunday if they want to bring a championship to the City of Fresno. It won't be easy but the fans are definitely with them!
