PCL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (BEST OF FIVE)
The series is tied 2-2
Tuesday the 15th: Round Rock 9 over Fresno 8 in 12 innings
Wednesday the 16th: Fresno 3 over Round Rock 1
Friday the 18th: Round Rock 6 over Fresno 2
Saturday the 19th: Fresno 2 over Round Rock 1
This game always felt like it was about to break out of control with Round Rock hitters consistently getting into scoring position. But Fresno pitchers consistently got out of any real trouble. Asher Wojciechowski got the start and, other than a hiccup in the second when a Nolan Fontana error and a double led to the one Round Rock run of the game, he managed to work around any trouble and ended his evening allowing only five hits, one unearned run and three walks over six innings while striking out seven. Chris Devenski (0.2IP 2H 1SO), Kevin Chapman (1.1IP 1SO), and James Hoyt (1IP 1BB 2SO) provided scoreless relief the rest of the way. The offense scratched out two runs on eight hits and two walks with Jon Singleton driving in both Fresno runs, an RBI single in the third and a solo home run in the sixth.
