TRANSACTIONS/ROSTER MOVES
It has been a quiet week on the the transaction front. The only move of note was the assignment of RHP Yeyfry del Rosario from extended Spring Training to Corpus Christi. The soon-to-be 22-year old was signed by the Astros in April 2015 after his release from the Blue Jays organization. Del Rosario put up solid but unremarkable numbers for short season Tri-City in 2015. He is the third pitcher, alongside David Schmidt and Edgardo Sandoval, to be fast-tracked to AA Corpus Christi already this season.

STANDINGS
Now that the early season rainouts are in the rearview mirror, the Astros full season teams are playing a full slate of games .... with mixed results. Corpus Christi is currently on a 5-game win streak, thanks in large part to great pitching and an offense fueled by Texas League Player of the Week SS Alex Bregman. Quad Cities on the other hand is struggling mightily, particularly at the plate; the team is sporting a collective .186/.277/.275 batting line through their first 12 games. They have lost 5 in a row.
