Astros Farm Report: 5-18

Lots of moves in the Astros system, but first things first ...

STANDINGS

After collectively going 6-20 over the previous stretch, our farmhands have righted the ship with a collective 13-10 record since last we checked in with them.

Fresno's pitching woes have certainly taken their toll this season. They have gone 2-4 over the last six games and have dropped even further behind in the standings. Corpus Christi finally got off the schneid after losing a disheartening 10 straight and have managed a more respectable 3-2 since breaking that streak. Buies Creek is channeling their inner-Astros as they remain in first place and have increased their lead over the second place team to four games. Quad Cities has been hanging in third place for a while, hovering around the .500 mark, but are currently on a three-game win streak.

AAA Fresno 3rd 16-24 .400 9.5GB W1
AA Corpus 3rd 18-21 .462 5.0GB L1
HiA Buies Creek 1st 25-15 .625 0.0GB W3
LoA Quad Cities 3rd 19-18 .514 3.0GB W3

ROSTER MOVES/TRANSACTIONS

Note: The Astros have been moving players back and forth to either Tri-City or Extended Spring Training as a means of managing their rosters. I won't be including those moves in this list if I believe that they are only being made on paper for roster management.

    2. I know he did, but that's not what the official transaction page says. Also take a look at his official Astros player record. Says "reassigned".

  2. What has happened to Brooks Marlow? Injured or in Astros Extended Spring Training? Haven't seen anything indicating he has been released.

  3. The other minor leaguer who seems to have disappeared is Scott Weathersby. Pitched in A ball last year.
