Astros Farm Report: 5/5

Something to tide you over while I transcribe my interviews with Dean Deetz, Akeem Bostick, Drew Ferguson, J.D. Davis and Mike Freeman .... coming soon to a blog post near you!!!

STANDINGS

Let's take a look in on the standings of the Astros farm teams within their respective divisions as we approach the one-month mark of the season. Fresno has lost ground over the last week but the other three teams are either hanging in there or improving their standings.

AAA Fresno 3rd 12-16 .429 6.0GB L1
AA Corpus 1st 15-12 .556 0.0GB L3
HiA Buies Creek 1st 19-9 .679 0.0GB W1
LoA Quad Cities 3rd 14-11 .560 1.5GB W1

ROSTER MOVES/TRANSACTIONS

Note: The Astros have been moving players back and forth to either Tri-City or Extended Spring Training as a means of managing their rosters. I won't be including those moves in this list if I believe that they are only being made on paper for roster management.

FORMER ASTROS UPDATE

After a lackluster season in 2016, former Astro and current Brewer OF Brett Phillips has been doing quite well for their AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox team thus far in 2017. In 21 games, he's hitting .299/.365/.558 with five doubles, five home runs, 19 RBI and four outfield assists. And he is still as crazy as ever (look for #8 in the red cap) ...
