Other than Jankowski's saves, the Grizzlies are conspicuously absent as PCL league leaders on the pitching side of the equation. Unfortunately, the starting pitching for the team has largely been a mixed bag. But good season starts from Jankowski (2.45 ERA/1.227 WHIP in 19 appearances), RHP Kevin Comer (2.37 ERA/1.253 WHIP in 19 appearances) and RHP Dayan Diaz (1.93 ERA/1.029 WHIP in 17 appearances), as well as a great May (1.69 ERA/1.063 WHIP in 10 games) from LHP Reymin Guduan prior to his promotion to Houston, helped Fresno stay in a few games that they may not have otherwise.

But the starting pitching has started to show signs of life recently, with good performances from RHP Mike Hauschild, RHP Casey Coleman and RHP David Martinez. If the starting pitching continues to improve and The Derek Fisher Show doesn't get called up to Houston too soon, the team should be able to start moving up in the division. There's still time ... for now.

  1. Martes and Rodgers were supposed to be the anchors of that rotation - boy, that kinda blew up.

    1. Yep. Martes will be fine, but they could definitely use a healthy Rodgers right now!
