Astros June 2018 MiLB Standouts

With the calendar turning from June to July, the top five Astros minor league teams are well-poised (with Corpus Christi and Quad Cities assured playoff berths as first-half winners) and the other three teams currently in first place. (We won't talk about the rookie level clubs who are struggling a bit to start their seasons.) Here are a few of the players who have helped contribute to the success of their teams in June. I have noted a few of the more outstanding accomplishments in red.

Note: If a player played at multiple levels during the month of June, he is listed under his current level, but his stats are cumulative.

FRESNO: 16-10 in June (48-33 overall); 1st place

Also, OF Myles Straw collected 11 stolen bases to one caught stealing in 28 games in June. Eight of those came following his promotion to AAA on June 16th.

There aren't a ton of standouts for the Quad Cities team right now largely because most of the players who were instrumental in getting the River Bandits to a first half first place finish have now been promoted. Many on the current roster are new to the level, but I have no doubt that they will get up to speed quickly.
