RHP Mike Foltynewicz (20)
Folty was drafted in the 1st round in 2010 out of high school in Illinois. His second season in the organization, spent with the Lexington team, started out rough and ended up rough. He went 5-11 for the season with a 4.97 ERA and a 1.493 WHIP. Looking at May through July, however, he went 5-4 with a 3.75 ERA. He pitched 134 innings this season as compared to 44.2 in 2010. With his increase in innings pitched and his sustained success through the middle of the season, Folty has established something solid on which to build.
C Ben Heath (23)
This Virginia native was also drafted in 2010, in the 5th round out of Penn State. His offense fell off slightly in his second season in which he posted a .252/.310/.408/.718 line between Lancaster and Lexington, but he still demonstrated some pop in his bat with 22 doubles and 10 homeruns.
RHP Yoiner Angulo (20)
Signed as a NDFA out of Columbia, Yoiner only pitched in one game for the DSL Astros in this his first season. He went 1.2 innings on May 29th, giving up no hits, one walk, two strikeouts and no earned runs.
