Thursday's Games
New Orleans over Oklahoma City 11-0
Starter Jake Buchanan allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out eight in seven innings. Two of Buchanan's runs came across in the eighth when Jose Valdez came in and things got a bit out of control with six runs scoring in the inning, giving New Orleans a 9-0 lead. The two additional runs scored off Valdez and Rhiner Cruz in the ninth were just salt in the wound. Oklahoma City was held to three hits in the shutout, all singles.

DSL Astros at DSL Dodgers postponed
Player of the Day: Catcher Rene Garcia doesn't get as much attention as Carlos Perez, Max Stassi, Tyler Heineman and others, but he is quietly going about having a very good season at the plate, hitting .296/.348/.421 in 57 games. His career caught stealing is 36%, but he has eclipsed that with a 46% mark so far this season.
Pitcher of the Day: Tanner Bushue's two-hit performance from Thursday earns him the WTHB nod. In five appearances, he is 2-1 with a 2.38 ERA and a miniscule 0.706 WHIP.
