The Texas League iteration of the Lone Star Series fires up once again tonight at 7:05. Cy Sneed will start game 1.
Lancaster was off
The JetHawks will begin a 4-game series with San Jose at 6:35 Pacific. Josh James will take on Jason Forjet.
Quad Cities was off
The River Bandits are in Fort Wayne for 3 games beginning tonight at 7:05 Eastern. Yoanys Quiala faces off against Chris Paddack, a native of Cedar Park.

The ValleyCats' comeback bid fell just short.
Stephen Wrenn scored Tri-City's first run on an error in the 4th inning. Jake Rogers whacked a 2-run homer in the top of the 9th to bring the ValleyCats within 1, but that was as close as they could get. Taylor Jones went 3-4 with a double, and Randy César finished 2-4.
Sebastian Kessay was stung by a 4-run 3rd from the Scrappers. In 4.2 innings, he allowed 8 hits, one of which was a 2-run homer, and struck out 8. Erasmo Pinales struck out 3 over 3.1 perfect innings.
The ValleyCats and Scrappers will wrap up their series at 7:05 Eastern.
Greeneville was off
Ben Smith will take the mound for the Appy Astros as they begin a 3-game series with Pulaski tonight at 7:00 Eastern.
GCL Marlins 9, GCL Astros 3

This game started out well enough for the Kissimmee Stros, but the Marlins seized control with 5 runs in the 6th inning.
Carlos Machado opened the scoring with a 2-run double in the 3rd, and Wilson Amador added an RBI single in the 4th inning. L.P. Pelletier went 2-4 and scored a run.
Agapito Barrios allowed a hit, walked 1, and struck out 2 in 2 innings. Jorge Guzman tagged in for 3 innings and allowed a hit, walked 1, and struck out 4. The wheels fell off for Leovanny Rodriguez; in 2 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 5 hits (2-run homer), walked 1, and fanned 4. Junior Garcia only recorded 1 out in the 8th via strikeout. He allowed 3 runs (1 inherited runner charged to him), a double, and walked 4. Luis Ramirez got the final 2 outs of the 8th, but not before he allowed a sacrifice fly that scored one of Garcia's runners. Manuel Gonzalez allowed an unearned run on a sac fly in the 9th; the runner reached on an error.
The GCL Astros will take on the Cardinals today.

The Blue team took advantage of some wildness from the Red Sox in the first extra frame.
Nicolás Miranda put the Blue team on the board with an RBI single in the 6th. Miranda walked to lead off the top of the 10th inning. He advanced to 2nd on a Ronny Jimenez sacrifice bunt, to 3rd on a wild pitch, and scored the go-ahead run on another wild pitch. Jose Benjamin scored another run on another wild pitch. Angel Tejeda and César Cortez had 2 hits apiece.
Juan Carlos Lopez allowed a hit, walked 3, and struck out 1 over 4 scoreless innings. Yeremi Ceballos was the first man out of the bullpen, and in 3 innings, he allowed a run on 4 hits and walked 1. Ronel Blanco allowed a hit, walked 2, and struck out 3 in 3 innings.
DSL Astros Orange 4, DSL Rays2 3 in 11 innings
W- Jacques Sambo (1-0)
L- Marlon Constante (3-2)
Orange home runs: None.
The Orange team walked off with a win thanks to an error.
Anthony Rodriguez reached on a fielder's choice in the 2nd; an error on the play allowed Ramiro Rodriguez to score the game's first run. Vicente Mota hit a sac fly in the 7th, and Ramiro Rodriguez did the same in the 8th to tie the game. Gilberto Celestino reached on an error to lead off the bottom of the 11th, and two errors later, he scored the winning run. Ronaldo Urdaneta and Enmanuel Valdez both had 2 hits in the game.
Maikel Sepulveda allowed a hit, walked 1, and struck out 2 over 5 shutout innings. Yohan Ramirez went 1,1 innings and allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. Cristofer Melendez was next; he allowed 3 hits and struck out 4 over 3.2 scoreless, and Jacques Sambo allowed a hit and struck out 1 in a scoreless 11th.
