The weekend that was in the Houston Astros minor league system. Since this edition of the recaps will cover two days, it will not be as super-detailed as it usually is.
Fresno
The Grizzlies split the first two games in their series with Reno, winning 10-4 on Saturday and losing 12-7 on Sunday. The Grizzlies took Saturday's game thanks to an 8-run 9th inning. On Sunday, however, the Aces turned the tables on them by scoring 6 in the bottom of the 7th to turn a 7-4 Fresno lead into a 10-7 Reno lead. Reno tacked on two more runs in the 8th inning.
Fresno and Reno will continue their series tonight at 7:05 Pacific. Edison Frias will take on Anthony Banda.

The Kissimmee Stros lost 5-0 to the Nationals on Saturday in Yulieski Gurriel's U.S. debut. Gurriel went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts. Andy Piñeda and Joan Mauricio both went 2-4.
Brian Holmes allowed 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2 in 4 innings. Forrest Whitley got knocked around in his 1.1 innings, allowing 4 runs (1 inherited runner charged to him) on 4 hits, walking 1, and fanning 2. Carson LaRue pitched 1.2 innings and allowed a run of his own on 3 hits and struck out 1. Manuel Gonzalez allowed a hit and struck out 1 over the final 2 innings.
On Sunday, they lost 6-2 to the Mets. Brody Westmoreland hit a solo homer, his 2nd of the season. Jorge Guzman went 4 innings and allowed an unearned run, a hit, and struck out 5.
DSL Astros Blue
The Blue team topped the Red Sox 4-2 on Saturday. Ronny Jimenez went 2-4 with a triple, RBI, and scored a run. Anibal Sierra finished 1-3 and scored 2 runs.
Ronel Blanco got the win; he allowed 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6 over 3 scoreless innings.
DSL Astros Orange
The Orange team jumped out to a 5-0 lead and beat the Mets 2 7-4. Samir Caraballo and Darlin Figueroa both scored 2 runs, while Anthony Rodriguez drove in 2.
Francisco Villegas allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and struck out 3. Gerardo Bojorquez allowed 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out 1.
