Signed as an NDFA out of the Dominican Republic in 2013, Garcia spent the vast majority of his season with the GCL Astros, making one appearance in Tri-City as well. In 13 games (eight starts), he had a 2.89 ERA and a 1.534 WHIP.
3B Colin Moran (22)
Originally drafted by the Marlins in the 1st round (6th overall) in 2013, Moran came to the Astros organization in the July 2014 trade that sent Jarred Cosart, Kiké Hernandez and Austin Wates to Miami. In his first 89 games of the season with the Marlins High A affiliate, Moran hit .294/.342/.393. After the trade, he hit .304/.350/.411 with the AA Corpus Christi Hooks. For the season, he collected 27 doubles, 7 home runs and 55 RBI.

Drafted by Houston in the fourth round in 2006, Johnson played for the Astros starting in 2009 and ending with his trade to the Diamondbacks in July of 2012. In 304 games, he had a .274/.314/.421 batting line with 64 doubles, eight triples and 26 home runs, 8 of which were in the 2012 season prior to the trade. In January 2013, he was traded to the Braves and was second in the National League in batting average that season (.321/.358/.457). In 2014, he hit .263/.292/.361.

Signed as an NDFA out of the Dominican Republic in 2013, Garcia spent his first professional season with the DSL Astros. In 14 games (one start), he was 2-2 with a 2.67 ERA and a 1.069 WHIP. He walked 12 batters while striking out 30 in 33+ innings, all at the ripe old age of 17.

Drafted by Houston in the fourth round in 2006, Johnson played for the Astros starting in 2009 and ending with his trade to the Diamondbacks in July of 2012. In 304 games, he had a .274/.314/.421 batting line with 64 doubles, eight triples and 26 home runs, 8 of which were in the 2012 season prior to the trade. In January 2013, he was traded to the Braves where he was second in the National League in batting average, hitting .321/.358/.457.

Chris Johnson Trade
3B Chris Johnson was traded to the Diamondbacks for OF Marc Krauss and IF Bobby Borchering. (Borchering has actually been playing OF this season, but the Astros have listed him as an IF in the release so they may be planning on moving him back to the 3B/1B which he played earlier in his career.)
Bobby Borchering is currently listed as #11 on Jonathan Mayo's list of Arizona's top 20 Prospects. He is a switch-hitting slugger with plus power and a high strikeout rate. Baseball America had him ranked at #10 in the Diamondbacks system coming into 2012 noting he has "as much raw power as anyone in the system." He was recently promoted from Hi-A to AA.

Happy Birthday - 10/1
3B Chris Johnson (27)
Drafted in the 4th round in 2006 out of Stetson University, Chris was unable to duplicate his success from 2010 in which he posted a .308/.337/.481/.818 line. In 2011 he had a slow start but picked things up considerably in June, only to backslide in July. Following a stint at OKC, Chris came back to Houston with the September call-ups and finished the year off nicely with a .314 BA in September. Overall for 2011, Chris posted a .251/.291/.378/.670 line with a very respectable .281 BA with runners in scoring position.
2B Josh Magee (20)
An 18th round pick in 2010, this Alabama native had an excellent year at Greeneville, with a .283 BA and a .346 OBP. He hit a gaudy .376 in August, thanks in large part to a string of 12 hits in 12 straight AB's in the middle of the month. He hit .306 against lefties and .277 against right-handed pitchers.
