Fresno home runs: Max Stassi (7, 3-run in 2nd)

The Grizzlies coughed up a 6-1 lead in their final home game of the season.

Max Stassi opened up the scoring with his 3-run home run in the 2nd inning. Fresno scored their other 3 runs in the 4th inning on a pair of RBI singles from Alejandro Garcia and Stassi, and Andrew Aplin scored on a wild pitch. Danny Worth went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored, and Garcia (RBI, 2 R) and Stassi (HR, 4 RBI) had 2 hits apiece.

Keegan Yuhl went 5.1 innings and allowed 6 runs (1 inherited runner charged to him) on 9 hits (2-runs and a solo homer) and struck out 8. Aaron West got the final two outs of the 6th via strikeout, but he allowed 2 runs, one of which was charged to Yuhl and allowed Sacramento to take the lead, on 2 hits and walked 1. Brendan McCurry allowed 2 hits in a scoreless 7th, Kevin Chapman came on for the 8th and an error resulted in an unearned run. He allowed a hit and walked 2 in the inning. James Hoyt walked 1 and struck out 1 in a scoreless 9th.

The Grizzlies will close out the 2016 season with a roadtrip. Brady Rodgers will start the first of a 4-game series in Tacoma at 7:05 Pacific.

Corpus Christi 6, San Antonio 0

CC home runs: J.D. Davis (21, solo in 2nd), Chase McDonald (17, solo in 5th)

Dean Deetz emerged victorious in his Texas League debut, joining forces with Ryan Deemes and Kevin Comer to toss a shutout.

Deetz allowed 6 hits and struck out 9 in 6 innings of work. Deemes allowed 2 hits and struck out 2 in 2 scoreless, and Comer allowed a hit, walked 1, and struck out 1 in the 9th.

J.D. Davis led off the bottom of the 2nd with a home run that put Corpus on the board first. Chase McDonald also led off an inning with a home run; he launched his in the 5th. An error in the 6th allowed Davis and Nick Tanielu to score. Drew Ferguson, who reached on the play (which was scored a fielder's choice) and advanced to 2nd on the error, came around to score on a single from McDonald. Davis scored the final run of the evening on an error in the 8th that allowed James Ramsay to reach. Davis (2B, solo HR, 3 R), McDonald (solo HR, 2 RBI), and Mott Hyde all finished with 2 hits in the game.

In the series finale, Kent Emanuel will take on Seth Simmons. First pitch is at 7:05. This will be the final game at Whataburger Field in the 2016 regular season.

Modesto 3, Lancaster 2 in 11 innings

Lancaster home runs: None.

The JetHawks scored a run in each of the first two innings, and then they were held off the scoreboard for the rest of the night and ended up walking off with a loss in their final road game of the regular season.

Trent Woodward ripped an RBI double in the 1st inning to open the scoring, and Keach Ballard hit an RBI single in the 2nd to bring in the other Lancaster run. Woodward went 2-4 on the night.

Scott Weathersby went 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. Kevin McCanna tagged in to throw 4.2 scoreless, allowing 4 hits, walking 2, and striking out 6. The Nuts scored the winning run with an RBI single off of Alex Winkelman with one out in the 11th. This was the only hit that Winkelman allowed in his 1.2 innings, and he issued 2 walks, one of which was intentional.

After a day off, the JetHawks will begin their final homestand of the season with 3 games against Rancho Cucamonga starting Tuesday and 4 with Inland Empire beginning on Friday.

Wisconsin 6, Quad Cities 3

QC home runs: None.

Both teams finished with 7 hits in the game, but the Banditos lost in the column that counts. They have dropped 9 consecutive games.

Both teams scored 2 runs in the 1st inning; Quad Cities' 2 came in the form of a 2-run double from Dex McCall, who finished 3-4 and was a home run short of the cycle. He tripled to lead off the 8th and scored on a Hector Roa single. Kristian Trompiz finished 2-3 and walked twice.

In his Quad Cities debut, Tyler Britton allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 1. Carlos Sierra was the first man out of the Quad Cities bullpen, and he allowed 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits (2-run homer), walked 1, and struck out 7. Justin Ferrell struck out 2 over 2 perfect innings.

The Banditos will look to stop their slide as Matt Bower takes the mound. He'll face Miguel Diaz at 7:00.

Lowell 9, Tri-City 6

TC home runs: Taylor Jones (7, 3-run in 4th), Rodrigo Ayarza (2, solo in 5th)

And now, the ValleyCats have been pushed to the brink. One more loss, and they will be eliminated from playoff contention in the New York-Penn League.

Taylor Jones put Tri-City on the board with a 3-run homer in the 4th inning, and Rodrigo Ayarza whacked a solo shot in the 5th. Ronnie Dawson smacked an RBI double in the 9th and came around to score on a single from Jones, who finished 3-5 on the night along with Carmen Benedetti, who hit 2 doubles. Dawson and Brauly Mejia both finished with 2 hits and 2 runs scored.

Kevin Hill went 3 innings and allowed 5 runs on 6 hits (3-run homer), walked 2, and struck out 1. Salvador Montaño allowed 3 runs, a hit, and walked 7 in 2 innings, and Sean Stutzman allowed a run on 2 hits and struck out 3 in 4 innings.

Carlos Sanabria will start the first of a 3-game series in Vermont. He'll take on Dakota Chalmers at 7:05 Eastern.

Elizabethton 8, Greeneville 7

Greeneville home runs: Luis Payano (5, solo in 2nd)

The Twins scored 2 in the top of the 9th to take the lead. The Appy Astros ended up stranding the tying run on 1st base, and with the loss, they have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Chaz Pal opened the scoring with a 2-run double in the 1st inning, and Luis Payano launched a solo homer in the 2nd. Jonathan Matute scored in the 5th when Ruben Castro hit into a fielder's choice,

After Elizabethton scored two in the top of the 7th to take a 6-4 lead, Greeneville responded with 3 in the bottom of the inning to regain the lead. Jonathan Arauz walked to lead it off, and Castro joined him on the bases after getting plunked. Abraham Toro hit into a force out attempt that was botched, which allowed Arauz to score. Reiny Beltre hit an RBI groundout, and Toro wound up scoring on a wild pitch. Payano went 2-4, while Arauz scored twice.

Forrest Whitley went 3 innings and allowed a run on a single, walked 1, and struck out 6. Colin McKee allowed a solo home run to Amaurys Minier and walked 1 in the 4th inning. Luis Ramirez and Carlos Hiraldo both pitched 2 innings; Ramirez allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and struck out 3, and Hiraldo allowed 3 runs (1 inherited runner charged to him) on 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. Reggie Johnson took ownership of the 9th, and the runner that he inherited from Hiraldo scored, in addition to a run of his own. Johnson allowed 3 hits and struck out 2 in the inning.

In the series finale, Lupe Chavez will face Clark Beeker at 7:00 Eastern.

In the upper minors, the Astros' affiliates squared off against two Royals affiliates.

Omaha 12, Fresno 5

Fresno home runs: Yulieski Gurriel (1, 2 season; solo in 4th)

One inning can change the momentum of a baseball game. Unfortunately for the Tacos, the Storm Chasers battered them with a 9-run 4th inning.

Most of the damage was done by the top third of the lineup. Yulieski Gurriel put Fresno on the board with a home run to lead off the 4th inning. He added an RBI single to his ledger in the 5th, and Jon Kemmer followed that up with an RBI double. In the 7th, Kemmer drove in another run with a groundout, and Danny Worth hit a sacrifice fly. Gurriel went 3-4 with 2 runs scored in his first AAA game, while Kemmer (2 2B, 2 RBI) and Colin Moran (2 R) both finished 2-5. Andrew Aplin was 2-4 with a run scored.

Keegan Yuhl went 3.1 innings and allowed 9 runs (7 earned, 3 inherited runners charged to him) on 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. Chris Cotton was the first man out of the Fresno bullpen, and in 1.2 innings, he allowed one hit, which was a grand slam hit by Whit Merrifield that resulted in 3 runners getting charged to Yuhl, and struck out 1. Reymin Guduan pitched the final 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and walked 2.

Brady Rodgers will take on Luke Farrell in game 2 of this series. First pitch is at 7:05 Pacific.

Corpus Christi 7, Northwest Arkansas 2

The Hooks started off their tour of Arkansas by keeping the Naturals' offense in check in the series opener.

Evan Grills turned in 7 solid innings; the two runs he allowed came on a home run from Ryan O'Hearn. He allowed 3 other hits and struck out 3. Michael Freeman and Jacob Dorris both pitched a scoreless inning; Freeman struck out 1 in a 1-2-3 8th, and Dorris allowed a hit and struck out 1 in the 9th.

Nick Tanielu opened up the scoring with a 2-run single in the 3rd inning, and Chase McDonald added a sac fly later in the inning. Garrett Stubbs smacked a 2-run homer in the 4th, and J.D. Davis launched solo home runs in the 5th and the 9th. Davis was the only player in the Corpus lineup with a multi-hit game; he, Stubbs, and Bobby Boyd scored 2 runs apiece. Stubbs and Boyd also stole a base; for Stubbs, that was his 12th, while Boyd now has 34 on the year.

Kent Emanuel will start game 2 of this series. First pitch is at 7:05.

Lancaster 11, High Desert 8

Lancaster home runs: None.

This has been a pretty interesting series for the JetHawks, as reported by Jason Schwartz. There was no internet at the ballpark on Monday, and the visiting clubhouse didn't have hot water either. Tuesday's game was played with an active wildfire raging in the vicinity, and it made for a pretty eerie pre-game scene.

After much deliberation, the game went on as scheduled, and the JetHawks swiftly erased a 7-1 deficit with an 8-run 5th inning.

Drew Ferguson opened up the scoring with an RBI single in the 1st inning. This would be Lancaster's only scoring play until that 8-run 5th; in the meantime, High Desert went on a 7-0 run.

Trent Woodward reached on an error to lead off the 5th inning. After Woodward advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch, Osvaldo Duarte joined him by reaching on another Mavs error, and Myles Straw walked to load the bases. Marc Wik went down on strikes for the first out, but Johnny Sewald kept the line moving with an RBI single. Ferguson followed with a 2-run single, and then Aaron Mizell walked to re-load the bases. Jamie Ritchie walked to bring in Sewald, and Jason Martin followed with a sac fly. In his second plate appearance of the inning, Woodward hit a 2-run single, and he scored the final run of the inning on a wild pitch. Straw drew a bases-loaded walk in the 7th, and later in the inning, Wik drove in the final run of the night with a sac fly.

Everyone in the JetHawks lineup had a hit except for Mizell, who still walked and scored a run in the 5th inning.

Rogelio Armenteros went 4 innings and allowed 7 runs on 8 hits (2 solos and a 2-run homer) and walked 2. Kevin McCanna tagged in for 3 innings, and he allowed a run on a groundout in the 5th, a single, walked 2, and struck out 2. Andrew Thome allowed a hit and struck out 1 over the final 2 innings to get the save.

Game 3, if conditions permit, will start at 7:05 Pacific. Akeem Bostick will face David Ledbetter.

Clinton 6, Quad Cities 2

QC home runs: None.

For the second straight game, the Banditos could only score in one inning. They managed to tie the game in the 4th inning, but the LumberKings found some late offense to take Tuesday's contest.

Jake Rogers and Kristian Trompiz hit RBI singles in the 4th which accounted for the 2 Quad Cities runs. Dex McCall finished 2-3.

Agapito Barrios went 2.1 innings and had an inherited runner charged to him, walked 1, and struck out 2. Justin Ferrell tagged in for 2.2 innings and allowed a run on 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. Adam Whitt was next, and in his 2.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs (2 inherited runners charged to him) on 4 hits (solo homer), walked 2, and struck out 4. David Schmidt got the final 2 outs of the 8th, allowing a hit, walking 2, and striking out 1.

In game 3 of this series, Matt Bower will take on Nick Wells. First pitch is at 6:30.

New York-Penn League All-Star Game

The South All-Stars topped the North 9-5. Taylor Jones entered the game in the 6th and was the DH the rest of the way, going 0-2. Chuckie Robinson went 0-2 after entering the game as a defensive replacement in the 5th inning. Enrique Chavez worked around a hit to throw a scoreless 5th, striking out 2.

The ValleyCats return to action tonight with a 3-game series against Aberdeen. Edgardo Sandoval will start game 1, and he'll take on Travis Seabrooke at 7:00 Eastern.

Greeneville 8, Kingsport 4

Greeneville home runs: Connor MacDonald (6, solo in 5th)

The Appy Astros stormed out of the gate with a 4-run 1st inning and withstood a game-tying rally in the middle stages of the game to earn the split in their series with Kingsport.

Stijn van der Meer scored the first run of the day on a botched force out attempt that saw Connor MacDonald reach base. Reiny Beltre followed with an RBI single, and then Frankeny Fernandez scored on a double play. MacDonald ended up scoring the final run of the opening frame on a wild pitch. Van der Meer hit RBI singles in the 4th and the 6th. MacDonald launched a solo homer in the 5th inning and drove in the final run of the day with a sac fly in the 7th.

Patrick Sandoval went 4 innings and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits (solo homer), walked 1, and struck out 7. Luis Ramirez bridged the gap with a scoreless 5th, allowing a hit and striking out 1, and Diogenes Almengo allowed a hit, walked 5, and struck out 3 over 4 scoreless.

After a day off, Greeneville will begin a 3-game series in Danville.

The game resumed with both teams tied at 4... and it stayed that way until the Red Sox 1 walked off with the win in the bottom of the 17th.

Felipe Tejada, who has since moved on to the GCL, allowed one run on a sac fly, a single, walked 1, and struck out 4 in 6 innings. Carlos Perdomo allowed a game-tying 3-run homer to Eddy Reynoso in the 7th before play was halted. He allowed one other hit and walked 2 in the inning. Jheyson Caraballo came on after the restart and allowed 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4 in 5 scoreless innings. Robert Corniel allowed 3 hits and struck out 3 over 2 scoreless, and the winning run scored with 2 outs in the 17th off of Yonatan Quintin. In 2.2 innings, Quintin allowed that run, 2 hits, and struck out 3.

Nicolás Miranda went 3-7 with a double, an RBI, and scored a run. Ronny Jimenez and Angel Tejeda had 2 hits apiece.

DSL Rangers2 7, DSL Astros Orange 0

Orange home runs: None.

The Orange team was held to 7 hits and held off the scoreboard. Hector Martinez went 2-3 with a double.

Yohan Ramirez and Cristofer Melendez pitched 4 innings apiece; Ramirez allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. Melendez allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. Christopher Javier allowed a 2-run homer to Maxwell Morales in the 9th. He allowed two other hits, walked 1, and struck out 1.

Happy New York-Penn League Opening Day!

Tacoma 10, Fresno 4

Fresno home runs: None.

In a battle of Joes, it was Wieland who came out on top. The Grizzlies scored 3 in the 7th inning to make it a 6-4 game, but the Rainiers put this one out of reach with 4 runs in the 8th.

Fresno's Joe, Musgrove, pitched 5 innings and allowed 6 runs on 6 hits (2 2-run homers), walked 1, and struck out 3. Reymin Guduan was the first man out of the bullpen and walked 1 in 2 scoreless innings. Jordan Jankowski pitched the 8th and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1.

Jack Mayfield put the Grizzlies on the board with an RBI single in the 4th. Matt Duffy hit a 2-run single in the 7th inning and came around to score on a triple from Preston Tucker. Tucker finished a home run shy of the cycle. Duffy finished 2-4 and scored twice.

In game 2 of this series, Brady Rodgers will take on Jarrett Grube. First pitch is at 5:05 Pacific.

Corpus Christi 10, Frisco 3

CC home runs: Mott Hyde (2, grand slam in 7th)

The Hooks emphatically broke a 3-3 tie with 7 runs in the 7th inning. Mott Hyde and Danry Vásquez made their returns to the Corpus Christi lineup after they were involved in a nasty collision last month that put both of them on the disabled list.

Alfredo Gonzalez scored the first run of the game on a wild pitch that was also ball 4 to Danry in the 3rd inning. In the 5th, Chan-Jong Moon scored on an error, and Danry hit an RBI single. The Roughriders scored a run in the 6th to tie the game at 3, but that scoreline would be short-lived.

James Ramsay led off the 7th rather painfully as he was hit by a pitch. Gonzalez ripped a double to put runners in scoring position for Moon, who broke the tie with an RBI single. Alejandro Garcia was plunked to load the bases. Alfredo was forced out at home, but Danry reached safely to keep the bases loaded. Nick Tanielu followed with an RBI single, but Garcia was thrown out at home for the second out of the inning. Teoscar Hernandez walked to re-load the bases, and Conrad Gregor drew a walk to bring in Danry, resulting in a pitching change for Frisco. Hyde promptly greeted the new pitcher, Jason Richman, with a grand slam.

Not everyone in the lineup had a hit, but they all scored a run. Moon scored twice, while the other 8 players in the Hooks lineup scored once. Moon and Alfredo had 2 hits apiece; both of Gonzalez's hits were doubles.

Cy Sneed pitched 5 innings and allowed a 2-run home run to Ryan Cordell, which were the only runs that he allowed. Sneed allowed two other hits, issued a walk, and struck out 7. Kyle Smith tagged in for 3 innings and allowed a run on 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. Gonzalo Sañudo struck out 1 in a 1-2-3 9th.

David Paulino will start the series finale. He'll take on Connor Sadzeck at 7:05.

Bakersfield 12, Lancaster 5

A 10-1 deficit after 4 innings doomed the JetHawks. They were also held to just 4 hits in this game.

Both teams scored a run in the 2nd inning; Lancaster's run came in the form of a sac fly from Tony Nuñez. In the 5th inning, Garrett Stubbs scored on a wild pitch and Jason Martin whacked a 3-run home run, his only hit of the evening. Trent Woodward's double was the JetHawks only other extra-base hit.

Matt Bower went 3.2 innings and allowed 10 runs (6 earned) on 10 hits (solo, 2-run, and grand slam), walked 1, and struck out 6. Yeyfry Del Rosario pitched 3 innings and allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. Kevin Comer was the next pitcher to appear; he allowed a hit, walked 3, and struck out 2 in 1.1 innings, and Ryan Thompson struck out 2 in a 1-2-3 9th.

Cedar Rapids 2, Quad Cities 1 in 14 innings

The Banditos were doubled up in the hit column and the run column.

Osvaldo Duarte's solo home run in the 3rd inning was the River Bandits' only scoring play. Kristian Trompiz finished 2-4 with a stolen base (4, 8 season). Duarte also walked twice and stole his 11th base of the season.

Franklin Perez went 5 innings and allowed a run on 5 hits and struck out 6. Kevin McCanna and Ralph Garza Jr. followed with 4 scoreless innings; McCanna allowed a hit, walked 1, and struck out 3, while Garza allowed 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. Adam Whitt pitched the 14th inning and allowed the go-ahead run on an RBI double from Luis Arraez, which was also the only hit that he allowed. He struck out 1.

In game 3 of this series, Albert Abreu will face Dereck Rodriguez. First pitch is at 6:00.

The ValleyCats greeted their fans by romping to an Opening Night victory.

In his first professional plate appearance, Stephen Wrenn smacked a solo home run. Randy César doubled to lead off the 2nd, and he scored on a sac fly from Brauly Mejia. Tri-City scored 5 runs in the 5th on 4 doubles: Daz Cameron smacked a 2-run double and came around to score on a Taylor Jones double. Jones scored on Jake Rogers' two-bagger, and Rogers came home on a double from Mejia. César hit an RBI single in the 6th, and in the 7th inning, Carmen Benedetti hit an RBI single, and Jones followed with his first pro home run, a grand slam.

Everyone in the lineup had a hit except for Kolbey Carpenter, who still drew a walk and scored. Mejia was the only person to not score a run. Wrenn (solo HR, 4 R), Benedetti, Jones (grand slam, 5 RBI, 2 R), César (2B, RBI, R), Rogers (2B, RBI, R), and Mejia (2B, 2 RBI) all had 2-hit nights.

Akeem Bostick threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2. Sebastian Kessay pitched the final 3 innings and allowed a run on 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7.

Angel Tejeda successfully executed a squeeze play in the 5th to bring in the Blue team's first run of the day. Juan Piñeda followed with an RBI single. Orlando Marquez smacked a 2-run homer in the 6th inning. Nicolás Miranda put them in front with an RBI single in the 11th inning. Piñeda finished with 4 hits, while César Cortez was 3-5 with 2 runs scored.

Felipe Tejada went 4 innings and allowed a run, a hit, walked 2, and struck out 4. Carlos Perdomo allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. Juan Cuevas got the win after throwing 5 scoreless innings; he allowed 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6.

The Blue team played the Marlins this morning.

The Grizzlies avoided the sweep behind a dominating pitching performance from Brady Rodgers.

Rodgers allowed just 2 hits and struck out 8 over 8 shutout innings, and James Hoyt completed the shutout by recording his 12th save of the season, striking out 2 in a 1-2-3 9th. While Rodgers did not face the Tim Lincecum who was such an outstanding pitcher for the Giants, he matched the former Cy Young Award winner pitch for pitch in a fine pitcher's duel.

This game was scoreless for 7.5 innings, but Fresno changed this in the bottom of the 8th. Nolan Fontana led off the inning with a single and advanced to 2nd on a single from Jack Mayfield. He then advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch and scored the only run of the game when Jose Valdez was called for a balk. The Grizzlies could only muster up three singles from Fontana, Mayfield, and Tyler Heineman, but a call that went their way allowed them to put up the only run of the game on the scoreboard.

Tonight, the Grizzlies are in Sacramento to begin a 4-game series against the RiverCats. In game 1, Mike Hauschild will take on Matt Lujan. First pitch is at 7:05 Pacific.

Corpus Christi 3, San Antonio 2

Corpus trailed 2-1 after two innings, but they held the Missions scoreless for the final 7 innings and scored two runs in the 5th to get the victory.

Both teams scored a run in the 1st inning. Teoscar Hernandez led off the 1st with a single, and an error on the play allowed him to advance to 2nd. He scored the Hooks' first run on an RBI double from Alex Bregman.

Teoscar finished 2-3 and scored 2 of Corpus Christi's 3 runs. He led off the 5th with a double, advanced to 3rd when Bregman flew out, and scored on an RBI single from Nick Tanielu. D.J. Fisher, who was intentionally walked after Teoscar made it to 3rd base, stole 2nd (12), advanced to 3rd on Tanielu's RBI single, and scored the go-ahead run on a balk. Bregman finished 2-4 with the RBI double.

Brian Holmes went 3 innings and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. Aaron West tagged in to throw 4 scoreless, allowing 3 hits and striking out 2, and Brendan McCurry recorded his 13th save of the year by striking out 3 over 2 perfect innings.

Keegan Yuhl will start game 3 of this series. He'll take on T.J. Weir at 7:05.

Visalia 15, Lancaster 1

Lancaster home runs: Ramon Laureano (4, solo in 6th)

The JetHawks were swept out of Visalia to conclude a series of misery. They were outscored 29-5 in the 4 games and were held to one run in 3 of the 4 games.

Ramon Laureano's solo home run in the 6th inning represented Lancaster's only scoring play of the game.

Lancaster's pitchers struggled mightily, and I will leave it at that.

Tonight, Lancaster will begin their final road series of the first half, a 3-game series in Rancho Cucamonga. Dean Deetz will start game 1 of this series, and he will take on Josh Sborz at 7:05 Pacific.

Quad Cities 4, Burlington 1 in 10 innings

The Banditos took the series by breaking a 1-1 tie with 3 runs in the top of the 10th inning.

Kevin McCanna pitched a career-high 8 innings and allowed a run on 9 hits (8 singles, 1 double) while striking out 3. Adam Whitt allowed a hit and struck out 2 over 2 scoreless and got the victory.

The River Bandits and the Bees both scored a run in the 2nd inning; Anthony Hermelyn provided the Quad Cities run with a solo home run, his first of the season. Burlington scored their 2nd-inning run on a bloop RBI single from Michael Pierson, and this game headed into extra innings in a 1-1 deadlock.

Myles Straw drew a 1-out walk in the top of the 10th and advanced to 3rd on a double from Osvaldo Duarte. Kristian Trompiz stepped up to the plate and proceeded to break the tie with a 2-run double. He later scored on an error that allowed Connor Goedert to reach. Duarte was the only player in the Quad Cities lineup to record a multi-hit game, going 3-5 with 2 doubles.

The River Bandits will begin their final homestand of the first half tonight. The first part of this homestand will be a 3-game series against Wisconsin beginning at 7:00. Justin Ferrell will start game 1, and he'll go up against Devin Williams.
